One Waste are delighted to have opened a second transfer station in Mitcham giving us greater capacity and doubling the amount of waste we can recycle.

In addition, we have taken over what was a large scaffolding yard next door to our main transfer station and tipping hall and this new area has been concreted and is now being used for skip storage and parking for our skip lorries, RORO’s, tippers and caged vans.
As part of the expansion we have invested in two new 360 material handlers to sort the waste.
The new machines have elevated cabs for the drivers therefore giving plenty of extra visibility – this not only minimises damage but will massively improve site safety!
We have positioned one of the new JCB machines in our new transfer station and the other one into our existing transfer station.
The new machines will make it quicker and easier to sort all of the waste and also make the loading of the articulated lorries that collect the segmented waste streams from One Waste easier and quicker to load.
